NFL Survivor

One team. Every week. No second chances.

How it works

One team. Every week. Stay alive.

Survivor is the simplest sweat in football: pick one NFL team to win each week, but once you use a team, it's gone for the season. Guess wrong and you lose a life — or your entry. Outlast your league and claim the bragging rights.

Quick start

  1. 1Pick one NFL team each week to win.
  2. 2You can only use each team once all season.
  3. 3A loss costs a life or eliminates your entry, depending on the league.
  4. 4Last Survivor standing wins.

Key rules

  • Picks lock at kickoff — no edits once the game starts.
  • Each team can only be used once per season, so save your favorites.
  • A tie counts as a loss unless your league grades ties as wins.

THE FULL RULES

Everything you need to know to compete in Survivor. Simple to start, brutal to survive.

League commissioners can still choose settings like lives, missed-pick handling, and tie resolution before the season starts.

The Basics

  • Make one pick each week during the NFL season.
  • Each team can only be used once per season, so every choice affects future weeks.
  • If your picked team wins, your entry stays alive and moves to the next week.
  • League settings control whether missed picks are allowed, auto-filled, or simply leave you behind.

Losing A Pick

  • A losing pick costs a life or ends your entry immediately, depending on the league configuration.
  • When an entry ends, it is final for that contest unless the league offers a re-entry.
  • Your standings and history still reflect completed and eliminated entries.

Pick Deadlines

  • By default, each pick locks at that game's scheduled kickoff time.
  • Kickoff times are displayed and enforced in Eastern Time (ET).
  • League commissioners can instead use a shared weekly lock such as first game of the week, Thursday night, or Sunday 1:00 PM ET.
  • Once the configured lock time arrives, you cannot change or cancel that pick.
  • Delays do not move the lock time. The original scheduled kickoff controls the lock.

Postponed & Canceled Games

  • If your selected game is postponed or canceled, the pick is void.
  • A void pick does not cost a life.
  • A void pick also frees that team for future use.

Winning

  • Keep surviving each week longer than everyone else.
  • The last survivor standing wins the contest.
  • Some leagues may continue until a single winner remains, while others may settle ties using league-defined settings.

Leaderboard

  • The leaderboard tracks who is still alive, who has been eliminated, and how far each entry has advanced.
  • Expect basic ranking information such as survival status, progress through the season, and relative standing against other entries.
  • Contest history remains visible even after an entry ends.
